artscape International is a monthly English web magazine for
readers both inside and outside Japan, but especially overseas,
with an interest in Japan's art scene and artists. With one of
Japan's most comprehensive art databases, artscape compiles up-to- date information about art events throughout Japan, presenting
reviews of exhibitions and articles about art trends and artists.
The artscape web site is operated by Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd.
and was formed by integrating Museum Information Japan (MIJ),
established in 1995, and the network museum & magazine project
(nmp), which debuted at the Internet '96 World Expo. artscape is
well-known in Japan as an established, reliable, all-inclusive
online resource for museum information, exhibition schedules,
reviews, and other art information.
